RESOLVE

Strategic initiative refresh and stakeholder engagement

The Public Private Alliance for Responsible Minerals Trade (“PPA”) is a multi-stakeholder initiative that works to solve complex challenges and improve global sourcing practices in mineral supply chains.

The alliance brings together diverse stakeholders across the private sector, nonprofit and public spheres to collaborate, identify barriers, engage in deep learning, and fund projects that strategically advance the field. Since its founding in 2011, the PPA has been managed by RESOLVE. Its membership (40 members~) and landscape have evolved significantly – particularly driven by the global energy transition.

Our team worked with RESOLVE to update the PPA’s strategy to meet the current moment – building on lessons learned, emerging needs and complementary geographies for potential expansion. Some highlights from our engagement include:

  • Leading the in-depth stakeholder consultation process to develop the PPA’s 3+ year strategy and build alignment across private sector, civil society and government actors
  • Building a revised value proposition , problem scope and initial strategy for regional expansion to include critical and transition minerals
  • Launching the revised operational model and strategic approach at the PPA’s annual members meeting during the Responsible Business Alliance Conference
